Health Talks: Breast Cancer Awareness
October 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Did you know Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in U.S. women (excluding skin cancers)? It is estimated that 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.
To do our part in raising breast cancer awareness, we will discuss the recommended age for screening mammograms, how we utilize ultrasound, and why mammography is the “Gold Standard” for all breast screenings. We will also speak to utilizing AI and how it affects readings, as well as how and when we utilize MRI for breast imaging. We will also provide more information about the Hope Fund and the guidelines for this service.
