COVID-19 Daily Audio Update – 2/19/2021

Hello.  This is Pam Burton, Infection Prevention nurse for Peterson Health with your COVID 19 update.  This message was updated Friday, February 19th.

Peterson Health has weathered the storm.  Thank you for your steadfast patience, understanding, and prayers due to this difficult winter challenge.

Update:

  • Peterson Urgent Care continues to provide care at the Cailloux Professional Building today (Fri.) at 575 Hill Country Drive, next to the hospital, until 7pm. We are happy to return to our established location Sat, at 1740 Junction Hwy., with regular hours of operation all weekend from 8am-4pm.
  • All Peterson Health medical facilities will re-open under regular operating hours on Mon., Feb. 22.

Total teamwork!  Thank you for helping us successfully navigate this winter wonderland!  We look forward to continuing to prove our commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Peterson Health is still offering an online COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration Site.  The website, https://research.net/r/PetersonHealth, is active.  At this site, community members can pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine and will be notified when Peterson Health will be hosting a community-wide vaccine clinic.  The link to the website is now located on the top banner of our homepage, www.petersonhealth.com next to this daily audio message link is NEW COVID-19 FAQ’S.

If you have additional questions, Peterson Health offers a COVID-19 hotline.  The hotline is available to answer questions regarding COVID-19 testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic persons, those visiting loved ones in nursing homes, or those in need of testing for travel.   You may reach the COVID-19 hotline by calling (830) 896-4200, then select option 1, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm.

As of today, Peterson Health is reporting 9 new positive Kerr County cases which brings our total to 2,422.  To date, Peterson has administered 17,923 tests.   At this time, there are 11 patients hospitalized at Peterson Regional Medical Center with COVID.  The death toll for Kerr County remains at 79.
