As of Tuesday, April 13, FDA and CDC recommended a pause of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.  Peterson Health is following their recommendation and cancelled the April 16th vaccine clinic.  We will make a decision regarding the April 22nd clinic as more information becomes available.

Peterson Health’s self-scheduling vaccine registration link will be closed until further notice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this important decision for the safety of our community.  We will keep you up to date as we receive other vaccinations.

Our Kerrville Medical Plaza offers COVID-19 testing for persons NOT experiencing symptoms or in need of testing for travel.  You may schedule an appointment by calling (830) 896-4200 option 1, Mon. thru Fri. from 0730 AM to 4 PM.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID19 please contact or visit Peterson Urgent Care on Junction Highway at 830-258-7669.  Urgent Care is open Monday through Friday 7am to 7pm and on weekends 8am to 4pm.

Peterson Health will continue to require the use of face masks or face coverings for all employees  and visitors throughout all of our healthcare facilities and we encourage everyone to continue to practice healthy and safe habits.

Today, Peterson Health is reporting ZERO new positive Kerr County cases, which bring our total to 2,543.  To date, Peterson has administered 21,378 tests. At this time, there is 3 patients hospitalized at Peterson Regional Medical Center with COVID.

Kerr County death toll remains at 86.

Peterson Health has posted the COVID-19 Vaccine self-scheduling link, which is accessible 24/7. Please log on to our Peterson Health website at www.petersonhealth.com then once you are on the website, please go to the top blue banner and click on the COVID-19 Vaccine Self Scheduler to begin the process. If you do not have access to a computer or experiencing trouble with our site, please call the pre-registration call center at 1-800-208-3611 between 8:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday.

Our COVID-19 hotline is available to answer any questions you might have regarding COVID-19 testing and other COVID resources. You may reach the COVID-19 hotline by calling (830) 896-4200, then select option 1, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm. Please check back with us on Friday for updates on vaccine registration changes and updates on COVID issues.

At this time, there is 7 patients hospitalized at Peterson Regional Medical Center with COVID.

TDSHS reported 1 new death for Kerr County over the weekend bringing our death toll to 86.

As Peterson Health continually strives to improve access and offerings for the COVID-19 vaccination as they become more readily available, on Monday, March 29th, the existing COVID-19 pre-registration link featured on the Peterson Health website was removed and will be replaced with a new self-scheduling registration option that is currently under construction.

While Peterson Health is transitioning to the new self-scheduler, they have confirmed that every person who has already registered with the Peterson Health COVID-19 Pre-registration site as of March 29th, will be directly contacted by Peterson Health staff to confirm their registration, so please be sure to answer your phone.  These calls will take place to help accommodate those who have pre-registered secure an appointment before going live with the new self-scheduling process.

The new self-scheduling link should go live in the next few weeks and will be prominently featured on the Peterson Health website at www.petersonhealth.com. The link will be accessible 24/7.  For those who do not have internet, an email or access to a computer, you may continue to use the City of Kerrville’s call center for assistance in scheduling your COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
